Tenet’s John David Washington Asked Questions To Understand Movie
Just when you would think that out of everyone looking forward to Christopher Nolan’s new movie, Tenet, it would be the actors who would have the most idea about what happened, then you are wrong. As the protagonist John David Washington tells it, he would have to hold questions for the renowned director only so he could understand the movie. Turns out he was as blank about the plotline as us. (Well, not us, to be exact. But, you know what we mean!) . Last time we heard a similar story was when Michael Caine revealed that he was unaware of the plotline and was only called to do his part.
Tenet Star Talks About The Movie
Christopher Nolan’s rise to stardom, fame, and awards has been especially rewarding due to his big-budget movies. The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception, and Interstellar received amazing reviews from top critics and he is planning to set Tenet in the same category as well. Although we are very much unaware of what is going to happen, so did John David Washington. Here is what he had to say:
“Every day I had questions for (Nolan). But he was very gracious, and he answered them very calmly and patiently… It was important that the actors could track the story correctly, so we could tell it the best way we could, and he was very patient with us. I say that very politely… Really, it’s interesting, because there are just little nuggets of information and just breadcrumbs of information about the movie that I’m surprised (Nolan) was willing to reveal. And I love that he did.”
At this point, we should note that even Tenet’s official synopsis doesn’t help out much in understanding what is happening in the movie. However, there is one confirmation that the word ‘Tenet’ holds a key to many answers in the time-twisting plot which Nolan has created ever so carefully.
Only on July 17, 2020, can we see what lies behind this silence.
