No Good Nick To Hit Netflix Soon
A couple of years back, Netflix decided to enter the family sitcom arena. It started with Fuller House which a sequel to TGIF’s Full House. But this time to continue the effort in the same space, Netflix ordered the multi-camera comedy No Good Nick. Netflix has committed to 20 episodes of No Good Nick starring Melissa Joan Hart and Sean Astin.
No Good Nick has been created and produced by David H. Steinberg and Keetgi Kogan. The sitcom features Melissa Joan Hart- the star of the TGIF comedy Sabrina The Teenage Witch. Along with her, the Stranger Things actor Sean Astin who starred in the second season is also returning with No Good Nick. Siena Agudong from Star Falls and Alex & Me as well as Kalama Epstein from The Fosters and Lauren Lindsey Donzis from Liv & Maddie are also assigned title roles in the series. The show will be directed by Andy Fickman and produced by Netflix. Moreover, No Good Nick is the second multi-camera comedy series ordered by Netflix. Previously, Netflix produced The Ranch as the first.
In No Good Nick, Melissa Joan Hart and Sean Astin play the super cute couple Liz and Ed. And here, Liz is a hyper competitive career mom while Ed is a dorky and lovable dad. As the two unwittingly welcome the 13-year old Nicole who goes by the name Nick, the family of four unrolls a whole new drama. But it’s afterwards that they realize who Nick truly is. Apparently, she is a street-smart con artist with a secret agenda.
The vice president of Kids and Family at Netflix- Melissa Cob released a statement after Netflix decided to order No Good Nick. She said that Melissa Joan Hart and Sean Astin are loved by millions of fans all across the world. And with this series, it’s a delight to bring them together as parents for the first time. She said that they hope to entertain families and children with mystery, heart and fun as they welcome No Good Nick to Netflix.
