Rose McGowan, one of the actresses known for leading the #MeToo movement, accuses Bill Maher of impropriety. On May 9th, she recalled an incident that took place in the 1990s during her appearance at Bill Maher’s show called Politically Incorrect. She made a tweet regarding the alleged sexual harassment that took place on his shows.

Rose McGowan goes to Twitter

Directly mentioning and tagging the official account of Bill Maher, McGowan said the following:

@BillMaher Here’s a memory I’d like to share with you. I bet you don’t remember, but I sure do,” she started, and it followed by “I was so excited to be on your show & get to flex my mind instead of my face. Here’s what happened. All I can say, Bill, you got what you deserved.

McGowan’s tweet included pictures of a Twitter draft, which detailed the events of the alleged sexual harassment:

“I was on your show Politically Incorrect in the late 90s — as the show returned from a commercial break, you leaned over to me & whispered in my ear, ‘my parents didn’t give me a good face, but they did give me a huge c—,'” she claimed. “I could feel your hot breath on my ear as an image of both your hideous face & alleged big c— flashed in my mind. Both turned my stomach. I’ve always wondered what you say & do to the girls that aren’t famous?”

These are some very serious allegations leveled by Rose McGowan, which at least deserves a timely response.

No response from Bill Maher, yet

So far, Bill Maher has not responded to McGowan’s allegations against him. His representatives have also refused to comment on multiple publications that reached out for a comment. HBO has also refused to make any comment on the current allegations.

Note that this is not the first time McGowan has come forward accusing a prominent figure. In 2017, she accused disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein, who denied McGowan’s allegations. Weinstein is currently serving jail time for two rape and sexual assault charges.

The show Politically Incorrect, that Rose McGowan mentioned, was canceled back in 2012 when the host made some comments on the 9/11 attacks. He now has another show called Real Time with Bill Maher. The show airs on HBO and was launched in 2003, currently in its 18th season.
