And it's controversial.

I don’t think there’s any show on Earth that is more talked about than Friends. It’s a simple and easy watch that can really calm your nerves, especially in quarantine. And it seems like Courtney Cox thinks the same as well! She not only admits in an interview that she’s binge-watching Friends but also tells us her favorite episode!

Courtney Cox loved being overweight

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Cox admits that she doesn’t remember much about Friends anymore. And that’s why she started watching it again:

I remember the people and I remember specific things that happen, but my memory is not great when it comes to, like, fun times — I only remember panicking, so I started binging it. It’s really good, turns out.

Right now, she’s just finished the first season. However, her memory of her favorite episode is quite solid. Courtney Cox recalls that the thanksgiving episodes, where she played fat Monica were her most favorite ones!

That’s the Thanksgiving one where we all had the flashback and I was overweight Monica. I loved playing overweight Monica because I felt so free. I could dance, just sit up and dance and have no problem at all.

Well, that explains her Instagram profile picture at least. But, there’s more to it.

This episode was the most controversial too

It might be a fond memory for Courtney Cox, but this episode did not age well. People have pointed out a lot over the years that the jokes and comments passed about fat Monica were fatphobic.

It’s sad though that Monica is just binge-watching the show now because we were getting a Friends Reunion. Sadly, that has been delayed until the world figures out how to deal with Coronavirus.
