Tiger King TV Show Casts Nicolas Cage as Joe Exotic

When COVID-19 took over the world, people found solace in Tiger King. Not only it became the biggest show on Netflix, people started speculating about its fictional versions. Recently, it was announced that Nicolas cage is all set to play Joe Exotic.

After its release, a lot of actors wished to play the real-life characters of Tiger King

Although the documentary is based on real-life people, it has the potential to make countless fictional versions. Every character featured on the series is so complicated and layered that they all deserve their own show. However, the main people are Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin. Since the release of the documentary series, many actors have expressed their desire to play Exotic. While Dax Shepard and Edward Norton had a hilarious exchange on Twitter, Zach Braff and Justin Long also chimed in. However, Dax Shepard wanted Channing Tatum to play John Finlay. On the other hand, Rob Lowe also jumped the bandwagon and said that he will be making Tiger King with Ryan Murphy. However, Kate McKinnon is a step ahead and will be playing Carole Baskin in a limited series.

However, Nicolas Cage beat them all and will be playing Exotic in a series based on Tiger King

Recently, it was announced that Nicolas Cage has secured the part of this mystic character for a limited series. Making it his first TV role ever. CBS Television Studios and Imagine Entertainment are producing the Tiger King series. However, it is not based on the Netflix documentary. The fictional Tiger King show is based on a story published by Texas Monthly. While it takes about the present Joe Exotic, the story mostly talks about his life before fame. Although Nicolas Cage is a well-known Hollywood actor, it does come as a bit of a shock that he will be playing this flashy, hillbilly character. However, most people think he is a perfect choice and has very specific facial hair similarities.
