Nicki Minaj canceled by LGBTQ community over Doja Cat remix lyrics
Nicki Minaj, rarely known by her real name Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, is a multi-talented celebrity. She came out as bisexual early in her career. However, while talking to Rolling Stone in 2010, she corrected her statement confirming she just claimed to be “bi” to gain attention. But some people might still remember what she said while correcting her statement because they as well as many others, are not happy with Nicki Minaj’s lyrics in Doja Cat’s “Say So” remix. In fact, the LGBTQ community is canceling her.
Nicki Minaj faces backlash over song lyrics
Now, Doja Cat’s song “Say So” itself did not pose any “demeaning” content. However, the song’s remix version with Nicki Minaj has the LGBTQ community talking. And it’s probably safe to assume that they’re all unhappy with the lyrics.
Singing “used to be bi, now I’m just a hetero” has hurt the LGBTQ community. The highly anticipated remix came out a few days ago, on May 1, 2020. While many fans loved it, some started highlighting the issue in the lyrics.
I know Nicki Minaj did NOT just said “used to be bi now I’m just hetero” …. this ain’t it …. delete immediately

However, the lyrics are not deleted, even if some fans are demanding it. Some took to Twitter to make memes on the situation and highlight how it is not okay for Nicki Minaj to say things about her sexuality that can be disrespectful for a community.

Someone even highlighted how Doja Cat shouldn’t have greenlit Nicki’s part.
doja cat, having had a homophobia controversy before, heard nicki minaj rap "use to be bi but now i'm just hetero" and still thought, "yeah, that sounds fine". i can't with neither of these girls ever 👏 fucking 👏 learning! 👏

Charts & Say So
The strong reaction from some fans all over the world has not affected the wide spread of the remix. Nicki Minaj and Doja Cat’s Say So remix is about to top the charts soon. To achieve the goal, they are releasing a cleaner version of the track to gain more popularity and hopefully, hit the target.
