Why Taylor Swift Fans Think This Is An Easter Egg

0 455

Taylor Swift fans never take a break. And rightly so. If you’re a swiftie, what Taylor’s fans call themselves, then you know she is the queen of sass. She lets no opportunity pass without either throwing shade or hiding easter eggs. So it wouldn’t be too far fetched for swifties to assume the popstar just dropped another easter egg which can lead to something major.

This speculation arose when Taylor took to Instagram to post a seemingly innocent selfie of herself while she’s in quarantine. She captioned it, “Not a lot going on at the moment.” Quite a casual post, right?

Taylor Swift’s Potential Easter Eggs

However, some eagle eyed fans noticed the picture was posted at exactly 5:08 p.m. E.T. If you translate that into a date then it becomes May 8. And upon further inspection, swifties noticed it falls on a Friday. Which is usually the day Taylor releases new music.

The pop sensation also made a reference to the numbers 5 and 8 in her music video for The Man.’ A message for the opening of a wedding scene at around the 2:44 minute mark read, “58 Years Later.”

Swifties also noticed the Lover singer has been using the word “heavenly” a lot recently on social media. They think it might be the title of her new song. We’ll just have to wait and see.

This might all sound far fetched but not if you’re a swiftie since Taylor is known to hide clues like this. She is yet to confirm all these theories about new music. But until then, let’s look for a few more clues as to what Taylor Swift is up to while in quarantine.
