The 70th Prime Time Emmy Awards brought forward a lot many creative and fashionable outfits. And these ones surely will not be forgotten in a long long time. Although, almost all designers did a fabulous job at Emmys 2018, the fashion statement of Leslie Jones and Aidy Bryant had no competition. And certainly, it received much praise and appreciation from the Emmy viewers. But probably everyone is wondering what could be so special with their outfits that they stood out among a hundred other celebrities at Emmys 2018.

What Did They Wear?

Saturday Night Live was surely dominating Emmys 2018 as a whole. Not only did SNL writers- Michael Che and Colin Jost host the Emmys. But the entire cast and alumni were occupying a major part of the front rows. And also, SNL got many Emmys 2018 nominations. To top it off, now Saturday Night Live stars Leslie Jones and Aidy Bryant wore spectacular outfits to win over the red carpet. It was no surprise that they chose Siriano and Taylor to create their customized Emmy looks.

Previously, both Leslie Jones and Aidy Bryant have been very vocal on not working with designers who do not go for celebrities that are unable to fit into the sample size clothing. Apparently, the sample size is commonly a size between 0 and 4. Both Leslie Jones and Aidy Bryant found themselves a designers who are more willing to extend their sizing. Naturally, both stars decided to go with Siriano and Taylor once again for Emmys 2018. Leslie Jones appeared in a hypnotizing iridescent outfit created by Christian Siriano while Aidy Bryant walked the red carpet in Tanya Taylor dress that had more than 3500 pink and yellow sequins.

Does It Mean Anything?

Leslie Jones and Aidy Bryant have been all over in the headlines in the past after they struggled with designers who refused to create plus-size dresses for them. Jones was apparently refused by almost all designers when she needed a dress for the premiere of Ghostbusters. Then Christian Siriano stepped in to volunteer for collaboration with Leslie Jones who wears a size of 8 and 10. Although that’s more than the zero size, it’s less than the plus one.

Aidy Bryant started working with Tanya Taylor while they were set up by the Glamour Magazine in 2017. Apparently, the project was to initiate a virtually nonexistent conversation between high-fashion designers and plus-size celebrities.

Now that Leslie Jones and Aidy Bryant are popular for their Emmys 2018 fashion statements, designers must be regretting. And it’s all because of their lack of acceptance for sizes that are not considered ideal.
