TV Show Scrubs Star Sam Lloyd Dies At 56 Years Old
A piece of unfortunate news has come as the television sitcom Scrub’s Sam Lloyd has passed away at the age of 56. His agent confirmed his death to a news source, who simply revealed that a good man is gone. We are not sure about the cause of his death since that is still under wraps for now. However, Zach Braff quickly picked up on this and led tributes to the late star, who played Ted Buckland on the popular sitcom. Braff also took to social media to talk about Lloyd, calling him one of the ‘funniest actors’ he has had worked with.
Scrubs Star Braff Paid Tribute To Sam Lloyd
Zac Bruff, who paid tribute to his late Scrubs colleague Sam Lloyd also retweeted a clip:
It is with heavy heart that I post this send off to actor Sam Lloyd, known to #Scubs fans as Ted Buckland. So much more than just a bit actor/character, Sam/Ted provided so much laughter and joy with a character so miserable yet very sympathetic. #RIPSamLloyd pic.twitter.com/aMNu61IG9v

In one of his early posts, he wrote a small farewell message to his Scrubs colleague:
“Rest In Peace to one of the funniest actors I’ve ever had the joy of working with. Sam Lloyd made me crack up and break character every single time we did a scene together. He could not have been a kinder man. I will forever cherish the time I had with you, Sammy.”

Along with him, others from Scrubs joined in as well. Show’s co-star Robert Maschio called him the kindest man he met. Whereas, the show creator Bill Lawrence also recognized his gentle qualities, calling him a kind and a sweet guy.

Sam Lloyd was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the beginning of last year. To help him, his comedy castmates rallied around to raise money for his healthcare. In February of this year, the actor gave a big scare to everyone when health emergency officials rushed him to the hospital with a swelling on his brain. Although the doctors removed a tumor, Lloyd met several complications and had to undergo two brain surgeries.
Sam Lloyd enjoyed 30 years of his acting career.
