Seating Arrangement of the Emmys 2018 Is Interesting
As the Emmys 2018 are coming near, people are wondering what the gold carpet has to offer this year. And amidst all this terrible excitement, everyone is ready to have a sneak peek into what’s coming up. During the press preview day for Emmys 2018, the Television Academy let us in on a few surprises. And that includes a tour of the auditorium as well as a seating arrangement. So basically, we know where our favorite celebrities will be- either they are special guests or the nominees for Emmys 2018.
Seating Arrangement Twists
There a few notable things from the seating arrangement that can definitely not miss our attention.
‘Saturday Night Live’ Is Scattered Everywhere
Almost all Saturday Night Live cast members received their seat cards. Among these, are a lot of nominees for Emmys 2018. But it seems like they won’t be having their own get-together. Almost all of their seats are scattered all over the auditorium. Unlike the casts of other shows, SNL team members occupy several spots along the first rows rather than being clustered together. Now that Colin Jost and Michael Che- the head writers of SNL are hosting, we expect the show to be pretty dominant. And since the cast members are too many, the seating arrangement could not fit them all in one place. The notable alumni from the show are seated in the front like Tina Fey, Andy Samberg, Fred Armisen, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader, and Tracy Morgan.
The seats reserved for nominees and plus ones were not marked. Except for a few prominent ones. Like Pete Davidson is seated with Ariana Grande whereas Chrissy Teigen will be with her husband John Legend. But other popular SNL guests like Jesse Plemons, Megan Mullally, and William H. Macy have unmarked seats next to them.
Unusual Seat Pairings
Well, some of the most amusing seat pairings that we got to know include Millie Bobby Brown being seated next to Larry David. But there is a plus-one spot in between and we don’t know who’ll take that. Tiffany Haddish and Kate McKinnon are seated with one another but maybe they’ll be fine since they recently bonded. But surprisingly, some seat pairings do not make sense. Real life partners Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys are seated in different sections of the front row. And there are even empty seats next to them.
Well, the entire seating arrangement will be seen at Emmys 2018 tomorrow. But here’s just a little preview to get the excitement rolling in!
