Priyanka Chopra Pays Tribute To Bollywood Veteran Irrfan Khan
Bollywood’s veteran star actor, Irrfan Khan, who also starred in Jurassic World has died. He was surrounded by his loved ones when he passed away in intensive care, at the age of 53. The legendary actor was suffering from colon infection which led to cancer, something he found out about in 2018. Amazingly, while he was battling for his life, he continued his career, shooting a Bollywood hit feature Angrezi Medium. According to the reports, Khan was with his family and loved ones when he breathed his last, something that is rare during this time in the pandemic. For Priyanka Chopra, this was grave news, who immediately took to social media to express her thoughts to the public.
Priyanka Chopra Remembers Khan Following His Departure
For those who do not know, Irrfan Khan’s contribution to the cinema and entertainment industry earned him a few chances in Hollywood as well. He played adult Pi Patel in Life of Pi, was in The Amazing Spider-Man, and also in Academy Award-winning Slumdog Millionaire. Priyanka Chopra worked with him on several occasions, including 2008’s action-thriller Chamku. She took to social media to put up a picture of her in a movie scene with him:
On Twitter, Priyanka Chopra uploaded the same picture but had something else to say.
“The charisma you brought to everything you did was pure magic. Your talent forged the way for so many in so many avenues.. You inspired so many of us. #IrrfanKhan you will truly be missed. Condolences to the family.”
The unfortunate event is just a single one for the world. However, for Irrfan Khan’s family, this is not the only one. Just four days back, Khan’s mother passed away who was 95 years old at that time. Due to the coronavirus lockdown and restrictions, the actor could not make it to her in time and could not even attend her last rites.
Our thoughts go out to Khan’s family and his loved ones.
