In an Instagram post, Aniston announced the news of Friends reunion with a picture of the cast. She wrote:

In a lifetime opportunity, one winner and their five friends will be able to attend the tapping of reunion and meet the cast. The reunion event will be released on HBO Max.

Other than Aniston, Matthew Perry also announced the news in an Instagram post. In the caption, he wrote:
