Sherlock Holmes spin-off is on its way. As Netflix and Millie Bobby Brown are teaming up for the new movie “Enola Holmes”. This production was announced a little over two years ago by Legendary Entertainment Productions. And they will be casting The Witcher’s Henry Cavill, Oscar-nominee Helena Bonham Carter and Peaky Blinders actor Sam Claflin.
It has taken forever for Enola Holmes to find a suitable distributor. But with the rising era in streaming services, it has found one of the best deals for its’ distribution: Netflix.
Netflix acquires the rights to Enola Holmes
According to sources, Netflix announced its acquisition of the movie on April 21, 2020. They also tweeted about the new venture by saying:
“what’s that? [four footprint emojis] a new Sherlock Holmes film led by Millie Bobbie Brown, Henry Cavill, Sam Claflin, and Helena Bonham Carter? “ENOLA HOLMES, a [film] from FLEABAG director Harry Bradbeer. Coming soon to Netflix.”
Plot of Enola Holmes
The movie follows the mysterious mind of his sister, Enola. This movie is an adaptation of Nancy Springer’s The Enola Holmes Mysteries. And this plot follows Sherlock’s teenage sister when she tries to break free from her family. And follows her gifted path of unique talent. This movie will be hitting Netflix sometime later this year.
Meanwhile, Millie’s Godzilla vs. Kong is in post-production and everyone’s hopeful of its’ release by November this year.
