The Mandalorian Season 3 – What Do We Know About It?
Jon Favreau created a wonder with Star Wars’ spin-off show The Mandalorian. With all eight episodes available to stream on Disney Plus, the show introduced us to baby Yoda, officially called The Child and his vague background. We also saw the return of Dark Saber, which was once a prized possession of the Visczla clan from the planet Mandalore. However, this time, it is in the hands of an Imperial Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito). While we all are excited to see the return of The Mandalorian for the next release, there is news about season 3 as well. So how much do we know about it?
About The Mandalorian Season 2
The second season has a planned released date for October 2020, that is if the coronavirus pandemic does not delay it. Bob Iger, the Disney CEO, hinted that a few more spin-off shows may spring up following this season. It was Gina Carano, playing as Cara Dune, who told us about The Mandalorian wrapping production. The season finished its filming just before the pandemic lockdown.
Later, in March, we found out that Ahsoka Tano will also make an appearance. Rosario Dawson, famous for her role in Marvel shows, will be taking on the role of Anakin’s Skywalker’s former padawan. We also know that Michael Biehn (Kyle Reese from The Terminator) will also join the cast. Finally, Bill Burr will see a return to his role as Mayfield as well.
What About Season 3 Of The Mandalorian?
For season 3, it was Variety who told us that Jon Favreau has been writing the storyline for quite some time now. In fact, Lucasfilm is already working on concept designs for a few weeks as well. Apparently, the production kicked off on April 20 of this year. If all things fall in place exactly as imagined, then we think that the third installment of the Disney Plus show can come in October 2021.
What we can do for now is watch the documentary Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian. Here we can see interviews of the cast and directors and a much detailed behind-the-scenes of the show we love.
