Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden welcomed their first child back in January. A RAD babygirl named Raddix Madden. And although the couple has been strict about protecting the privacy of their baby, they have let a few tid bits slip here and there.

For example, in an Instagram live recently, Cameron Diaz talked about how having two very different sleeping schedules has worked out for them in terms of parenting. While Cameron likes to sleep early and wake up early, Benji prefers sleeping late. It works out for them cause then there is someone for baby Raddix at all times. Cameron is there for her feedings early at night before going to sleep. And Raddix’s father is there for the late-night feedings. Then Cameron wakes up early and stays with her while Benji catches up on his sleep.

This different sleeping schedule works out for all three of them. Cameron said, “Those things are so valuable. We don’t even think about it. There’s a reason opposites attract. It’s because we need each other.”

Cameron Diaz Talks About Motherhood

During an Instagram Live chat, Cameron also revealed how motherhood has been for her. She called it the best part of her life before gushing on to say, “I’m so grateful and so happy. It’s the best thing ever and I’m so lucky to do it with Benji and we’re having the best time. I’m thrilled. I can’t believe it.”

She also spoke about the little family’s nighttime routine. After giving baby Raddix a bath, Benji puts her down to sleep while Cameron goes to the kitchen, pours a glass of wine, and get started on her cooking or puts on a show. She revealed Benji has been an amazing father.
