Chris Cuomo is finally out of his basement after quarantine
News reporter at CNN, Chris Cuomo, is finally out of quarantine after being tested positive for coronavirus. He is a free man indeed. Chris shares an update on his Instagram this Monday. In the Instagram post, he documented the moment stepping out of quarantine.
Chris spent weeks isolated in his basement while recovering from the virus. But while on the job, he was still broadcasting his CNN night show despite being ill from the virus.
Cuomo’s Instagram post shows him climbing up the stairs to his living room after CDC cleared him of the viral infection. He said in the post:
“The official reentry from the basement. This is what I’ve been dreaming of. Literally for weeks.”
Chris’s wife also tested positive for coronavirus. And she too was in isolation for weeks. But was recently given the green light to come out of isolation. Cuomo said:
“My wife was cleared by the CDC. She doesn’t have a fever, she doesn’t have the symptoms anymore and [it’s been] more than seven days in her quarantine.”
Chris gave his family, wife Cristina, and three kids Bella, Mario and Carolina a shaka sign after admitting that they were still apprehensive and scared after the incident.
He continued to explain how exhilarated he feels to be back to his house and walk around freely while doing normal chores.
Kids stepping up while their parents were recovering
Cuomo posted a photo with his kid, Bella captioning it “First smile in a long while.” Chris Cuomo shared another long post thanking his kids for stepping up while he and his wife were in quarantine. He thanked his daughter Bella for taking care of him while he was locked in his basement. Additionally, even Chris’s brother, Andrew Cuomo took care of Chris’s kids and gave his brother all the support he needed while in quarantine.
