Poor Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Ever since they started dating, there’s been one bombshell after another. As much as the pair wanted a peaceful life, they just can’t escape it.
After the Duchess of Sussex was targeted by the British tabloids for malicious coverage, Prince Harry filed a lawsuit against them. In new reply court documents for the lawsuit, Meghan Markle decides to set the record straight about her communication with her father.
In the lead up to the Royal Wedding in May, 2018, the texts exchanged from Meghan’s phone with her father, Thomas Markle, were revealed.
Meghan Markle’s Text Messages
“Tom, it’s Harry and I’m going to call you right now. Please pick up, thank you”.
“Tom, Harry again! Really need to speak to u. U do not need to apologize, we understand the circumstances but ‘going public’ will only make the situation worse. If u love Meg and want to make it right please call me as there are two other options which don’t involve u having to speak to the media. Who incidentally created this whole situation. So please call me so I can explain. Meg and I are not angry, we just need to speak to u. Thanks”
“Oh any speaking to the press WILL backfire, trust me Tom. Only we can help u, as we have been trying from day 1,” the texts read, according to the court documents.
The documents also stated that the Duchess of Sussex learned of her father’s heart attack when he told TMZ. There are texts showing that Meghan tried to reach out to her father. However, he didn’t reply or take her calls. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry even tried to get a security team to him but he refused. You can read all their text messages here.
Prince Harry spoke out about the ruthless campaign British tabloids waged against his wife. He then announced that they’d be taking legal action when The Mail published parts of a private letter between Meghan Markle and her father.
This legal battle keeps turning uglier everyday.
