The Star Chamber series coming soon
Amazon is revamping a 1980s Michael Douglas classic, The Star Chamber. Amazon is developing a series out of the movie. And the series will be changing its main lead while keeping most of the subject matter similar to the original.
The series is being developed by Sheldon Turner and Jennifer Klein’s Vendetta Productions and Fox 21 Television Studios. And Turner is also writing for the film.
About the new The Star Chambers
Ileen Maisel, Turner and Klein will be the executive producers of the modern film. But ILeen Maisel also was one of the developers of the original film. According to ComicBook, there is still no specific date of release for the new movie.
A female judge will be seen playing the lead role in the modern version of the film. She will be a federal court judge. And she will gather and lead a group of judges based outside San Francisco, who will be fighting for justice. But will eventually become vigilantes.
Whereas, in the original movie, Michael Douglas plays a court judge. He embarks on a mission to seek justice for himself when the legal system failed to do so.
The lead of the series will struggle to keep her job while embarking on a journey to seek justice as well. And at the same time keep her family intact too. But she’s seen struggling to right the wrongs of the legal system she’s part of. The judge has to take daring chances to achieve her goals.
