PETA wants NeNe Leaks to go fur free
NeNe Leakes attracted a lot of attention after releasing her latest single. The singer released a song called “Come And Get This Hunni”. And in the song, NeNe mentions PETA and “dropping a mink to the floor.”
And so, PETA sent NeNe a faux fur coat after her single came out.
Lisa Lange, Senior Vice President of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) released a statement and said:
“Leakes would drop fur to the floor forever if she saw how minks and other animals are shot, beaten, electrocuted, and even skinned alive in the cruel fur industry.”
PETA is urging the star of Real Housewives of Atlanta to send out and donate her animal fur coats. So, they can give it to homeless folks. And PETA said that these are the only people who have an excuse to wear such clothes and fabric.
PETA explained that many other celebs have been endorsing the cause. Namely Anjelica Huston, Mariah Carey, and Kim Cattrall.
PETA’s endorsement of animal rights
PETA has been going strong in its cause to try and bring a permanent end to the use of animal fur in the fabrication of luxury clothes, bags, and shoe accessories.
They sent the singer cum actress an Unreal Fur’s Premium Rose Jacket in black worth $379. In the parcel, they also included a note uring the fifty-two-year-old star to go permanently fur-free.
Miss Leakes representative, however, told Page Six Styles that the actress never received the coat. And that she has never been in contact with the organization.
But on hearing this, PETA clarified that the coat is still in transit from Australia and will reach the star soon.
PETA previously also sent megastar, Jennifer Lopez animal-friendly coats. And this came about after the release of her recent movie, Hustlers where the actress is seen wearing many expensive fur coats throughout the movie.
No one wears fur anymore except for old ladies and sad people desperate for attention.
Nene would be such a good cruelty-free fashion ambassador! I hope she moves in that direction.
