While the global health workers combat the coronavirus pandemic, a new trend is calling for social distancing. In this trend, people are urged to maintain 3 ft distance from each other and stay home for as long as possible. This is to flatten the growth curve, which has taken dealt more than 150 thousand deaths to the global population. Now that the epicenter has shifted to the state of New York, the seriousness of the issue is at its peak for the US, and no person should ignore it. Consequently, like others in Hollywood, Star Wars have come up with a coronavirus PSA to raise awareness.

Star Wars Release Fun Coronavirus PSA

All credits due to George Lucas’ Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). The studio cleverly used Star Wars theme illustrations to make coronavirus PSA. The aim was to promote safety guidelines and show support to everyone battling the pandemic at the frontlines. For instance, in this tweet (below), we can see Luke Skywalker stocking up on his nasty-looking green milk, just behind Chewbacca. There is also Rey Palpatine and Din Djarin, the Mandalorian bounty hunter. We can also see droids buying groceries, and as everyone waits for their turn at the counter they all are standing a few feets apart.

In the next illustration, the Star Wars coronavirus PSA features a tribute to the healthcare workers and other people who are actively fighting the pandemic. This includes the cleaning staff, medical supply chain, the hospital management and the security forces who are trying their best to keep people inside their homes as comfortable as they can. Have a look below:

However, perhaps a special shoutout should go to those in the hospitals, many of whom have to look after an alarming number of cases. These are the doctors, nurses and the paramedic workers who have gone beyond their physical limitations to save patients’ life.

For Star Wars to do a coronavirus PSA in collaboration with the ILM is certainly a motivation-boosting thing.
