Taylor Swift Forced To Cancel All Shows In 2020 Due To Coronavirus
Musical artist of the decade Taylor Swift announced that she is forced to cancel all of her shows in their 2020 tour date because of the coronavirus. The pandemic rages on with no solution in sight and this has forced the Me! singer to think about safety first, as everyone should. The announcement became official when the Taylor Swift website displayed the message alongside Swift declaring it on her social media feeds as well. However, she is still open to travel inside the US boundaries and the Brazil region. The actor stated that there might be a rescheduling of dates in that region in 2021.
Taylor Swift Cancels Shows Due To Pandemic
Here is an excerpt of the statement in the Taylor Swift website as her shows cancel:
“With many events throughout the world already canceled, and upon direction from health officials in an effort to keep fans safe and help prevent the spread of COVID-19, sadly the decision has been made to cancel all Taylor Swift live appearances and performances this year.”
Swift also posted this message on her Twitter. She admitted that she misses the fans but it was ultimately for the safety of everyone, hence it was the right decision. She urged her audience to stay safe and healthy. Check her tweet below:
I'm so sad I won't be able to see you guys in concert this year, but I know this is the right decision. Please, please stay healthy and safe. I’ll see you on stage as soon as I can but right now what’s important is committing to this quarantine, for the sake of all of us. pic.twitter.com/qeiMk2Tgon

For the shows happening in the U.S and Brazil, Taylor Swift announced that the audience would not have to do a thing. The dates on the ticket will transfer to new ones as soon as the authorities decide on rescheduling. However, “for those who desire refunds for tickets purchased for the U.S. Lover Fest shows, they will be available starting May 1st subject to Ticketmaster terms.”
For Taylor Swift, perhaps canceling of her shows is an emotionally difficult decision. She said back in September that she wanted to celebrate her Lover album live, in a way that feels authentic to the music. Unfortunately for us, while we feel the same energy, we might have to wait a bit longer to see the fan-favorite singer on stage.
