Being in the spotlight is never easy. Once you start putting yourself out there, you have to get used to the fact that you will receive criticism. And you need to learn how to move on from it. But with that being said, just because you are in the public eye, nobody has the right to say anything they want to you. There’s a fine line between criticism and hatefulness. The line most people tend to ignore. That’s what happened to YouTuber Jaclyn Hill too.

Jaclyn Hill Claps Back At Body Shamers

The beauty star took to Instagram to post a picture while enjoying a burger in a fiery red satin pajama set. However, she soon received hateful comments from body shamers who objected to her eating a burger. I mean, the audacity of some people. Who even are they to comment about anyone’s weight or what they should or should not be eating?

Jaclyn’s original caption read, “I miss the days when I chose to leave events early and isolate myself.” However, after receiving the negative comments, she added, “Also, for all the people making comments about my weight & me eating a burger… go find yourself a life.”

Responding to a fan in the comment section, Jaclyn Hill commented, “When I posted this photo, the first 30 minutes were TONS of comments about my weight. That’s why I edited my caption. Now the love is overflowing the negative. Plus, I blocked and deleted a lot of people because it’s not needed.”

This isn’t the first time she’s received hate about her weight. In the past, Jaclyn Hill has also opened up about battling cyber bullying and dealing with depression and anxiety.

Maybe someday we’d realize our words have the power to hurt people. Then only will we start being more kind to each other.
