The coronavirus pandemic has put the entire world on hold. By following the lockdown guidelines, many of us are practicing precautions. Still, a large number of people are contracting the virus on a daily basis. Celebrities, politicians, anchors, etc. are among these people as well. And recently, it was announced that George Stephanopoulos, popular anchor of Good Morning America has tested positive for COVID-19!
How is George Stephanopoulos Feeling after Testing Positive for Coronavirus?
During Monday’s broadcast of Good Morning America, Stephanopoulos broke the shocking news. However, he clarified that he doesn’t have any symptoms. Interestingly, the former Democratic advisor revealed that he feels great. In his own words,
I’m one of those cases that are basically asymptomatic. I’ve never had a fever, never had chills, never had a headache, never had a cough, never had shortness of breath. I’m feeling great.

While it may sound confusing at first, Stephanopoulos’ case is perfectly in line with the studies referenced by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, indicating that asymptomatic people can carry the coronavirus.
How did the Good Morning America Anchor Contract the Virus?
With how easily this virus transfers from one person to the next, there’s no way to find out for sure how George Stephanopoulos got it. However, it’s highly likely that he got it from his wife, Ali Wentworth.
For those of you unaware, the actress and comedienne tested positive for COVID-19 around two weeks ago. Unlike Stephanopoulos, she had the symptoms. She even posted on Instagram about how she was suffering from high fever, horrific body aches and heavy chest. What’s even worse is that while in quarantine, she was not allowed to stay close to her family.
So, there’s a fair chance that the GMA Anchor’s social distancing regime wasn’t sufficient to keep him safe.
We wish for the Stephanopoulos couple to make a full recovery soon. And for all of you reading this, stay safe!
