Cast members including Courteney Cox have filmed a 90-minute special over Zoom Cloud Meeting app. The release date is not confirmed but it will air sometime before the Coronavirus struck Friends Reunion goes live.
What is the Pre Friends Reunion Special about?
The original cast including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry will not be seen any time soon on HBO Max. WarnerMedia group had to cancel it because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Disappointed? Well, don’t be. A 1 hour 30-minute special is coming your way before the postponed Friends Reunion airs. According to sources, director Ben Winston has turned live video app Zoom’s recording into something fans will love.
As soon as filming was canceled, everyone started panicking as it took so long to get their schedules to align. They’ve been having daily Zoom meetings. Jennifer Aniston – who has the busiest schedule of the six – has assured them she’ll do whatever she can to ensure they don’t have to wait months to get the Friends reunion filmed.
Insiders also say that these video call sessions consist of some fun content that will keep fans distracted amid these testing times.
Their Zoom sessions have been brilliant fun, and there’s some hilarious material on there. It can be aired as either a series of teasers or even a stand-alone special.
Winston is collaborating with Friends creators David Crane, Marta Kauffman, and Kevin Bright for the reunion. HBO Max’s star-studded show will be co-executive produced by James Longman and Emma Conway.
Online streaming service, HBO Max’s Friends reunion will be shot at the show’s original, Stage 24 of Warner Bros.
