Resident Evil 4 is getting a Remake; Already Entered Production!
Over the last year or so, Capcom has not only released its remake of Resident Evil 2, but it has also rolled out a Resident Evil 3 remake. So, you know that the company has no plans on stopping any time soon. And guess what? A Resident Evil 4 remake is now in the works as well, if rumors are true. It will be interesting to see how the remake of an already epic Resident Evil game fares.
Resident Evil 4 Remake slated for a 2022 release!
News of the remake in question isn’t even surprising at this point. The fourth installment in the Resident Evil series is a highly successful game. Recently, Capcom put out a survey to find out people’s interest in the franchise’s future.
As for the Resident Evil 4 remake, a reliable source (VGC) has stated that the game in question is under full production. Developers are aiming for a 2022 release. Leading the charge this time will be none other than M-Two. However, you can always count on different Capcom teams and studios to provide their assistance in the development phase.
What we know so far about the RE4 Remake?
Apart from the details mentioned above, we also know that Shinji Mikami (director of the OG Resident Evil 4) will not be returning to direct the project this time around. However, he has provided input. Moreover, this Resident Evil game will most probably be retaining the original feel.
RE4’s numerous ports and remasters are accessible on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS2, PS3, PS4, PC, etc. So, we can expect the remake to be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X, in addition to the consoles in trend currently.
