Coronavirus precautions have resulted in global lockdown as everyone practices social distancing. The pandemic has shut down places of worship around the globe as well. These testing times are testing our faith and altering the way we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ this year too.
However, former US President Barack Obama thinks that it will not change the way we think and we will get out of this pandemic as victorious. Obama wished everyone in a Tweet.
The celebrations may look different this year but our unwavering faith remains the same. For me, Easter is a time of hope — a reminder of rebirth and renewal — and a belief in a better day to come. From my family to yours, we wish you all a blessed and joyful Easter.
Michelle Obama also shared that she’s grateful for what she has but also misses the way things were.
As many of us celebrate Easter and Ressurection of Jesus Christ during, I know that we may be missing the togetherness and traditions we’ve shared in years before.
President Donald Trump also wished a Happy Easter 2020 and defended Trump administration’s Coronavirus precautions.
We won’t celebrate Easter by sitting next to each other. Which we’d like to be. And soon, we’ll be again.
What is Easter?
For most Christians it this Holy day falls on a Sunday. It’s a celebration of the belief in the Resurrection of Jesus. Around 2000 years ago, God the Father raised Jesus from the dead. It was the very first Easter.
It follows the events of the day (Good Friday) when Jesus was executed on a cross and then buried in a tomb.
We hope and pray on this day that the Coronavirus pandemic leaves us alone so we could get back to our normal happy lives. Happy Easter 2020 to all Christian brothers and sisters.
