Netflix knew the success of “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before”, and from the looks of it looks like they have brought something similar for the fans. Alice Wu is the filmmaker so we are sure that it is fit for the contemporary audience. After her work on “Saving Face”, she is returning from her 15-year break.
Ellie Chu is an introvert who is into books and watching movies with her widowed dad. To pay the bills, she writes the assignments of her class fellows. One of her assignments with a class fellow turns into something else. She gets to make a friend for the first time in her life. Paul Munsky hires her to write love letters for Aster Flores, a popular girl who is out of his league. What both of them didn’t expect was the work turning into a friendship.
