Iyanna aka Yaya Mayweather faces up to 99-years behind bars for allegedly stabbing the mother of Baton Rouge rapper NBA YoungBoy’s child. Floyd Mayweather’s daughter and Instagram’s MoneyYaya was arrested on the charges of Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon.
Is Yaya Mayweather Convicted?
According to the reports, legendary boxer, Floyd Mayweather’s daughter has been officially charged. However, 19-year-old Iyanna has not been convicted yet.
The state of Texas takes this felony rather seriously and if Yaya Mayweather is convicted, the sentencing will range from 5 to 99 years in state prison.
Reports also suggest that the Mayweathers have hired a very well-known lawyer. Houston attorney Kurt Schaffer will fight the criminal case involving Yaya.
Why was Iyanna Mayweather Arrested?
She was involved in an altercation with Kentrell Desean aka rapper NBA YoungBoy’s former love interest, Lapattra Lashai Jacobs. Instagram’s MoneyYaya claimed that she is YoungBoy’s fiancé and demanded Jacobs leave from his house.
The ex refused to comply with the demand and that’s when things went wrong. The two started fighting and one thing led to another. According to the police, Yaya Mayweather grabbed two knives and attacked the other woman with one of them.
It resulted in serious but not life-threatening injuries and Lapattra (found lying on the ground) was taken to the hospital in an emergency. She had to undergo surgery and recovered later.
The police also arrested the Baton Rouge rapper as a precautionary measure but NBA YoungBoy was released later.
A bail amount of $30,000 led to her early release but was ordered to maintain distance from the mother of Kentrell Desean’s child.
Let’s see if things get any better or worse for the legendary boxer’s daughter Yaya Mayweather. We’ll have to wait on this on. Dankanator will keep you updated.
