Ariana Grande Recreating The Waterboy Scene Racks Up Sandler Interest
During the days of isolation due to the coronavirus, there is so much time in our hands that we feel like doing anything. Ariana Grande, for instance, is spending her days recreating The Waterboy. The 1998 movie starring Adam Sandler, Kathy Bates, and Fairuza Balk is probably one of Sandler’s hit movies of his careers. Grande got her friends, and mom, together to go one step ahead of TikTok to reenact scenes of the movie which she seems to like.
Ariana Grande Does The Waterboy Scenes
It was on April 6 when Ariana Grande shared her impression of The Waterboy first. But she continued to do this a few days later as well. She was acting as Bobby Boucher, a socially-awkward water boy. She captioned her post “and how’d u all make use of YOUR day?” In this scene, Grande teamed up with Liz Gillies and Aaron Simon Gross who was attempting to seduce Boucher. Grande, of course, was playing the star of The Waterboy, Boucher. Take a look:
even Adam Sandler had fun watching this take of his old movie. The star could not resist showing his notice of the video as he commented on the video “Bobby Boucher approves of this message”.

With a strong approval now with Ariana Grande, she decided to make another video from The Waterboy movie. Two days later, she popped another post featuring her mother, Joan, playing Mama Boucher and Gillies playing Boucher’s love interest Vicki Vallencourt. Grande seemed so dedicated to the whole reenactment scene that she even did accurate makeup to depict Boucher’s injury in the plot. Take a look below:
Yet again, Grande received another mark of approval from the original star Sandler after she posted the video on her social feeds. This time he quoted her video with the comment: “A tough day for Bobby…Vicki…and Mama.”
If Bobby Boucher is approving a message then you must be spending your isolation the right way, right? For Ariana Grande, The Waterboy recreation was certainly the proper thing to do!
