While they started out as friends, Florence Pugh’s relationship with Zach Braff is more than that

Initially, people noticed Zach Braff liking Florence Pugh’s pictures on Instagram. In 2019, Pugh worked on Braff’s short film, In the Time It Takes to Get There, and played an influencer from the 19th century. However, Zach Braff and Florence Pugh’s relationship had already reached the next level. Braff posted a picture with her brother on Instagram where two were seen drinking together. After that, the couple posted frequent pictures of themselves and their friends at various places including Disneyland.

However, it became official when Florence Pugh posted a birthday wish for Zach Braff on Instagram. In the caption, she wrote:

“Today we shall smile wider than the clouds are grey. April 6th and we’re celebrating hard! Happy Birthday wishes, boogies and cheers for this special person. Raise those bubbles and jiggle!”

After the birthday wish, the couple received backlash due to their 21-year age gap.

In response to that, Florence Pugh defended her relationship and posted a lengthy video

The Little Women actress took to social media to answer backs to the haters. Florence Pugh’s relationship received backlash mainly because of the age gap. While talking about it, she said:

“Within about eight minutes of the photo being posted, I had about 70 percent of the comments hurling abuse and being horrid and basically bullying someone on my page. I will not allow that behavior on that page.”

She expressed her disappointment and said:

“It makes me upset. It makes me sad that during this time when we really all need to be together, we need to be supporting one another, we need to be loving one another. The world is aching and the world is dying and a few of you decided to bully for no reason.”

Furthermore, she said:

“I do not need you to tell me who I should and should not love, and I would never in my life ever, ever tell anyone who they can and cannot love. It is not your place. And really, it has nothing to do with you.”

Apart from defending her relationship with Zach Braff, she highlighted that bullying is not cool and she would not allow it on her page.

While celebrities are public figures, their personal lives should not be scrutinized like this.
