If anything, La Casa De Papel Season 4 was all bloodshed. Heartbreaking bloodshed. But, after 4 seasons, we have come to realize that that is just the Money Heist premise. Now, Netflix has not yet renewed the show for season 5. However, producers of the show did not wrap things up and left them hanging in the air. If anything, we have even more questions now. As season 4 has left us in another classic Money Heist cliffhanger, we are left wondering what comes next. Or if there will be a next. Here’s is all there is to know about Money Heist Season 5 so far!

Will the Heist continue? – La Casa De Papel

Money Heist creator Álex Pina talked to ABC Spain about the possibility of a next season saying:

Someone knows there will be (a season 5), but not us.

However, it seems that the creators of Money Heist have a pretty good relationship with Netflix as the Spanish creator talks.

“Our relationship is one of absolute freedom. We are doing crazy things that would put everyone on alert and not only have allowed us to do so, but also promote it.”

So the producers of La Casa De Papel are all up and ready to bring us more crazy and surprising content.

There are different Spanish sites confirming that the show is renewed for another 2 seasons but we will sit on that until there is some official news.

Money Heist Season 5 release date

Well, following past patterns, we may have a season 5 somewhere around December of this year. Money Heist typically releases season with 8-9 months. However, as Netflix has announced a break from all the shootings of their Original Shows til the Coronavirus Pandemic clears out, we may be looking at a long gap this time.

Which Heisters will return for season 5?

Here’s a list of the Money Heist cast who you can expect for a comeback in season 5.

  • Álvaro Morte as El Profesor
  • Darko Peric as Helsinki
  • Enrique Arce as Arturo Román
  • Esther Acebo as Stockholm
  • Itziar Ituño as Lisbon
  • Jaime Lorente as Denver
  • Miguel Herrán as Río
  • Úrsula Corberó as Tokio

However, writers of the show have expressed how they are believers of taking it one episode at a time. They do not think too far ahead. Script coordinator Javier Gómez Santander says:

With La Casa De Papel, we go game by game, like Simeone. Chapter by chapter, sequence by sequence, line by line. We do not ever consider how long the show can last. If we got to know the scope of the phenomenon, we wouldn’t have thought to kill Berlin.

So, that clears out that writers of the show take their time. No wonder Money Heist is so successful. As much as we await season 5 of the show, we will miss Nairobi (Alba Flores) dearly!
