Who is Linda Tripp?

Ms. Tripp started working in the Intelligence Department at Fort Meade after graduating from Hanover Park High School in the late 1960s. Linda Tripp was later transferred to Pentagon’s Public Affairs Dept and that’s where she met Monica S Lewinsky, who was over 23 years her junior. The two bonded quickly and it wasn’t long before Ms. Lewinsky told her senior and friend about her past sexual relationship with Bill Clinton.

It was then Tripp decided to do something about it and secretly started recording her phone calls with Monica Lewinsky. There were hours and hours of recordings and the tapes were handed over to independent counsel, Kenneth Starr. Kenneth was already investigating former Arkansas Governor, Mr. Clinton in another scandal involving a failed Whitewater real estate venture.
