Billy on the Street Returns Online
Billy Eichner is returning with a sixth season for his game show Billy On the Street. But this time, the series will be renewed for only a web season. The return as the online-exclusive series has been confirmed by Billy Eichner himself on Twitter.
The Revival Of ‘Billy On The Street’
Billy Eichner is bringing back Billy On the Street together with Funny or Die and Lyft Entertainment. The eight episode short form web series will not air on television. But it will still be available on a lot of other places. Including social media accounts of Billy Eichner, the YouTube channel of Billy On the Street and the official website for Funny or Die. And they might also be available on Funny or Die’s social media platforms.
Apparently, by making the upcoming season as a web series, Billy On the Street is returning back to it’s original roots. The show began with Billy Eichner uploading irreverent, fast-paced man-on-the-street videos on YouTube as part of his stand-up act. It then became known as Billy On the Street. And was aired on Fuse TV for three seasons from 2011 to 2014. Later, it switched to truTV for the fourth and the fifth season continuing from 2015 to 2017.
No premiere date has been announced for the new season. But a few guest appearances are declared. And this time the star guests joining the cast will include Emma Stone, Tiffany Haddish, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Kate McKinnon. Billy Eichner has also promised that the comedy would be same as ever that made Billy On the Streets standout than all other shows.
While talking about the revival, Billy Eichner claimed that he wanted to give it a rest after five seasons. So that he could focus on other projects. But now that they were going good, it was time to bring back Billy On the Streets.
Fans are super thrilled and just can’t wait for more!
