Massive Outrage Forces Disneyland to Halt Annual Pass Holders’ Payments!
We appreciate Disney for their understanding!
To say that the coronavirus pandemic has put the world on hold would be an understatement. Almost everything from movie theaters to schools and colleges is closed currently. So, in light of the current situation, Disneyland Park has closed its doors as well. What does it mean for the annual pass holders? Will they get an appropriate refund from Disney? We have all the answers!
Annual Pass Holders Lash Out at Disney for Charging them Despite of the Park’s Closure!
Someone who has been to the Disney park in question will agree that it is a wonderful place. Owning an annual pass to visit the park anytime during the year is completely worth the price. However, since no one can visit it these days, shouldn’t Disney be offering refund to every pass holder? At least for the months during which it remains closed?
A few days ago, Disney issued the following statement on its website:
Annual Passholders on the monthly payment program will remain on the current payment schedule and continue to make their scheduled payments.
It was also said that Disneyland would extend such passes’ expiration date and the payment collected during these times will be applicable for the extended period.
However, people didn’t react kindly to this news. It’s apparent that the COVID-19 coronavirus (SARS-CoV2) pandemic has left a lot of people unemployed or at least in a stressful financial situation. At such times, paying for a theme park subscription (that they can’t even avail in the first place) should be the last thing on their minds.
Disney Decides to Stop Payments for Annual Pass Holders Temporarily!
In the wake of the massive backlash, Disney decided to reconsider its initial statement. And it turns out that our childhood champion is on our side after all!
According to Disney, it is halting annual pass holders’ payments as well as refunding those holders who paid for their monthly subscriptions between March 14 and April 4. For those who have already made the annual payment, a refund is being offered for the time during which Disneyland remains unaccessible.
It surely is relieving news during times like these. Disney clarified that once the park reopens, the payment plan will proceed as normal.
If you know anyone that is a Walt Disney Annual Pass Holder, share this news with them!
