Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 6 has made a remarkable start in China on Friday. It earned a total of $28 million on its very first day. And by the looks of it, it has undeniably added success to its name. Especially, in the upcoming world’s biggest movie-going marketplace.

Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 6 can not be directly compared to other Mission: Impossible movies. But it definitely did better than the last one.

Box Office Sales for Mission: Impossible 6

Mission: Impossible 6 earned as much as $9.5 million more on it’s first day as compared to Rogue Nation. However, keeping exchange rates and inflation aside, exact predictions are tough to make here. Mission: Impossible 6‘s $28 million is on par with $26.7 million that Transformers: Age of Extinction made in 2014. And also with the $33 million from 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron as well as Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ $33 million in the same year.

However, there is no shame to admit that Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 6  is still far from some very popular films. There’s almost no competition with $45-$90 million plus earnings of Warcraft and Furious 7. And in fact, also Avengers: Infinity War and Fate of the Furious. Reports claim that it is possible for Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 6 to do as well as it’s fifth edition. Or the movie release from last weekend Ant Man and the Wasp. Ant Man and the Wasp made a total of $68 million over the weekend. Rogue Nation scored $100 million in the first ten days. It’s possible that Mission:Impossible Fallout cracks more than $86 million in the next three days. But it’s still very unlikely.

Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 6  is almost a $180 million budgeted production. Counting the money it made from the release  in China, the movie has made a total of $580 million worldwide. By the end of the weekend, it is speculated to cross $650 million. The movie has already become the second biggest non-superhero release of the year. And by the looks of it, it has no strong contenders coming up. The only threat it might face would be from the Warner Bros Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
