On Monday afternoon, the Thank You, Next star took to Twitter and Instagram to post a selfie that got quite a lot of attention. More so than usual. And that was because instead of her iconic signature high ponytail hairstyle, she was posing with her natural hair down her shoulders.
“get a load a dis,” she wrote on her head-turning selfie.

However, that was not the only thing that was different. Ariana Grande also had kind of a bare-faced look with next to none foundation and a little lip tint. She did however, have a cat eye liner on her eyes and a coat of mascara.
Her healthy curls and new makeup look grabbed everyone’s attention. And people could be seen commenting positive things about her transformation. Her Arianators even loved the look so much, they urged the singer to keep it like this now.
Even her mom couldn’t help but love this new look. “your natural hair/curls is a world of its own….” Joan Grande said on Twitter. “A magnificent beauty you are inside and out/ made up or natural … I love you…”

Ariana Grande’s Signature High Ponytail
You might be wondering what the big deal is about seeing her natural hair. The big deal is that it’s such a rare occurrence. Ariana Grande had revealed back in 2014 in a Facebook post that her hair is too damaged. Which is why the only thing that works for her and her hair is the now iconic ponytail.
“Since people give me such a hard time about my hair I thought I’d take the time to explain the whole situation to everybody,” she explained. “I had to bleach my hair and dye it red every other week for the first 4 years of playing Cat… as one would assume, that completely destroyed my hair.”
She continued, “And trust me, it’s even more difficult for me to have to wait forever for my natural hair to grow back and to have to wear more fake hair than every drag queen on earth combined. So PLEASE gimme a break about the hair (or just don’t look at me lol). IT’S JUST HAIR AFTER ALL. There are way way way more important things. Love y’all very much.”
Well we’re happy her hair is much healthier now because it sure looks amazing!
