V Wars is canceled. Netflix just announced that they are canceling Ian Somerhalder’s production. As if March was not a hard month anyway. We are already dealing with so much bad news. As fan-favorite Ian Somerhalder pens hopeful messages to help get by this tough time, he himself loses the project he is extremely passionate about. That might be the reason we are still waiting for his word on the whole thing. Ian was doing all he could to get the ratings up for the show. It was a show close to his heart because not only did he produce it but Ian also starred in the series playing Dr. Luther Swann. But, Netflix has decided to cancel the show. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the news just before the end of the month.

V Wars is Cancelled

If there was any doubt about the news, the IMDb page of V Wars went from (2019-) to (TV Series 2019). That indicates that there are no more seasons coming. Which is honestly sad for the fans. We will probably never know the reason why Netflix canceled the Sci-fi show. However, sources at the Hollywood Reporter say;

The cancellations arrive as Netflix, which does not release viewership, continues to make renewal and cancellation decisions based on internal viewing data vs. cost. The streamer reviews the returns and considers if the financial investment in another season will be valuable to its subscribers or if those funds would be better served with new content that draws more viewing and signups to its service.

Well, so to say, fans are most definitely disheartened.

They realize how important V Wars was to Ian. Well, to be fair, we also loved Dr. Luther Swann in action just as much. Guess the brotherhood of Michael Fayne and Luther Swann did not work as well as we thought. We do agree that nothing compares to the Stephan and Damon Salvatore brotherhood of Vampire Diaries. But, Adrian Holmes was doing a pretty decent job!

Well, so it goes, we cannot do much about the cancellation!
