Arielle Charnas slammed for fleeing house after testing positive for Coronavirus
While everyone in the world is trying to practice social distancing and isolation, some people are not taking the issue seriously. That’s why, a fashion blogger and influencer recently faced backlash when she left her New York city house to stay in Hamptons. Arielle Charnas has 1.3 Million followers on her official Instagram account. She is also running a fashion blog by the name of Something Navy. While she believes she did not do anything wrong, the world is calling her out on her “carelessness” and non-serious behavior. Why? she was diagnosed with Coronavirus. And she still left her house.
Testing positive for COVID-19
People are calling her an official “COVIDiot”. Amidst Coronavirus pandemic, she left her house while she was supposed to stay quarantined for 2 weeks period. And Arielle Charnas justified it by saying that she “felt better”. She is a mother of two kids, and she is posting pictures with her kids while she is standing out in the open. When it comes to her family, we know they must have already been exposed to the virus before her diagnosis, so staying with them is not a big issue. However, ignoring the calls of isolating from the world is not okay.
On March 17, Arielle shared with her fans that she was feeling sick.
It’s been 4 days since I started feeling incredibly sick. Each day the symptoms evolve into something else and while I can’t imagine how I’d ever catch coronavirus (from what I know I haven’t been in contact with anyone who has it) I’m dealing with the weirdest virus I’ve ever had since mono. I’m so happy my fever is gone but the body pain that I’m feeling today is unlike anything else.
However, she also shared in the same post that she wants to work. Arielle Charnas was not giving up due to her sickness. The very next day, she confirmed she has Coronavirus.

Fresh air 🙏🏽
If you do the maths, you will realize that she was supposed to stay indoors for a few more days. Moreover, that picture was taken outside her Hamptons house. While she was quarantined in NYC. Her fans called he rout on her behavior, and now Arielle has hidden the comments section from the public. No one can post comments or read previous comments.
However, some sources were quick to record the comments. Here’s what a nurse had to say:
As a nurse I’m super bummed you couldn’t stay quarantined for the whole 14 days past positive testing.
Arielle Charnas is facing backlash for privileged diagnosis
Arielle Charnas is not just being called out for her behavior, she is also called out on her “privileged” life. Apparently, the first backlash she received was when she posted Instagram stories of herself, being tested for COVID-19 inside her car.
As per the source, one user commented:
Your privilege does not excuse you from following simple rules to contain yourself. And you influence a lot of young people.
While the world is already facing shortage of tests, Arielle Charnas was tested because of a doctor friend. Even though the officials are urging young and healthy people to stay quarantined if they have good immunity or low risk factors, she still accepted the offer of a test. Arielle Charnas even posted this on her Instagram story:
I acknowledge how lucky I am to have had that access.
The Hamptons locals were not happy when they found out that she was still sick when she arrived at her place. And now, they believe their town is infected because of her.
No doubt she hid her comments because of the backlash. She is doing well now, and sharing posts on her Instagram.
We urge everyone to follow the officials’ guidelines and stay quarantined, follow social distancing and stay calm and healthy.
