Quarantine is a very difficult time for most of us around here. It’s not easy to be restricted in the 4 walls of your home in fear of Coronavirus. But, in this time some celebrities are stepping up to actually make a difference. They’re doing so by doing concerts on Instagram. However, Sir Elton John decided to take it a step further. He decided to host a Living Room Concert For America, featuring some huge names in the music industry. The list included Shawn Mendes, Camilla Cabello, Backstreet Boys, Lady Gaga, and many others!

Sir Elton John gathers some massive names!

When we last saw Sir Elton John, he had to cut his concert short due to pneumonia. However, this time he is back in full force, that too in a time of great need! He decided to host an online concert on YouTube, named the iHeart Living Room Concert for America. Moreover, he partnered with Fox News as the official presenters and took on board some incredible stars! And it was all for a noble cause, as the concert was collecting funds for two charities, Feeding America and Children of First Responders Organization. Here are some of the performances and immense line up from the concert:

Sir Elton John himself

Our favorite Rocketman did a cover of his famous ‘Don’t let the sun go down on me’ on his son’s piano. Moreover, he mentioned another epidemic that was ignored or forgotten – AIDS. Sir Elton John said:

Not long ago, there was another infectious disease that was ignored. Day in and day out, the disease got worse, because we did nothing. Too many forgot about compassion and decency, and so millions and millions of people perished from Aids. But this time, we aren’t going to let that happen. So, stay home for the ones you love.

But, this was just the start. After that, we got to hear from the Backstreet Boys!

Backstreet Boys reunite online!

Let’s face it, just like Sir Elton John, none of us ever got over the Backstreet Boys either. And their performance was probably the highlight of this concert. All the band members: Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean performed from their own homes but swept the fans away.

Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello join the show

Sir Elton John made sure the heartthrob couple was also a part of his show, and they did not disappoint. Sitting in their living room, with Shawn Mendes on the guitar, Camilla Cabello stole the show with her amazing voice in ‘My Oh My’.

Lady Gaga also chipped in

Even though she didn’t sing, Lady Gaga also had a positive message for the concert and her dear friend Sir Elton John. She said he is “the host with the biggest heart” and how we should support our “local communities” while trying to “find joy however you can”. She has previously appealed for more kindness amid Coronavirus too!

Several other artists chipped in too!

The list of artists who chipped in for Sir Elton John is staggering. Other performers included Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Demi Lovato, Billie Eilish, Sam Smith, Mariah Carey, and even more!

These stars truly made this concert iconic. Many actors failed to use their platform for the best of the people, like Gal Gadot. However, Sir Elton John is not someone who would let any chance of helping the people go by. And he definitely proved it here. The concert was being live-streamed on the YouTube channel, and you can donate right now! For more information, go here.
