The Mandalorian Season 2 To Feature Captain Rex As Well?
Director Dave Filoni is the one bringing us a rumor this time. The Clone Wars fans strap up because Captain Rex is about to arrive in The Mandalorian Season 2. The animated character has been a major supporting part of The Clone Wars. And became one of the highlights during the infamous Order 66. Star Wars franchise even gave him his due respect towards the storyline. They gave him a reunion with his former 501st Legion commander Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars Rebels. He is quite easily the legend among the Star Wars universe, a fan favorite and probably one of the best clone troopers in the galaxy.
Is Captain Rex Coming To The Mandalorian Season 2?
Although Anakin Skywalker led the 501st Legion into the Jedi Temple during Palpatine’s Order 66. Captain Rex quit long ago to see himself become a villain. Wielding a pair of DC-17 blaster pistols and a custom-fit helmet and armor he helped Ahsoka Tano escape. And helped her hide when all clone troopers were busy killing all Jedis. He comes back to Star Wars in Rebels series as an aged and retired soldier. But it was still a great fight.
Since Rosario Dawson is coming to The Mandalorian season 2 as Ahsoka, it is highly likely that Captain Rex can join her as well. The idea is indeed gaining some traction. Screenrant is reporting that SWNN’s Jason Baney noted Dave Filoni, the man behind The Mandalorian series, has created a brand new artwork of Ahsoka and Rex as his Twitter banner. He thinks that Filoni is quite possibly hinting towards their arrival to the second season of the show beginning in October.
Unfortunately, Baney was quick to correct what he said. Taking back his words he told that this artwork dated back from 2015 and it was solely him who was under the impression that it was new. Take a look at his tweet:
