Tom Hanks Shares His First Message After Recovering From Coronavirus
It was a couple of weeks ago when movie star Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson were diagnosed with coronavirus in Australia. It was during his filming of Baz Luhrmann’s biopic of Elvis Presley when they fell sick. The couple were quick to take action on this and heading to a local hospital for the medical tests. After testing positive for the pandemic which is currently wreaking havoc in Italy, Spain and the US, the stars admitted themselves to quarantine. Now, after fully recovering and returning home to the United States, Hanks has a few words to say about this.
Tom Hanks Message After Coronavirus Illness
Tom Hanks was working with Luhrmann in Australia to star in an unnamed Presley biopic. He is to play his long-time manager Colonel Tom Parker and it was during this filming when the star fell sick with the virus.
Tom Hanks made a public announcement after testing positive for the coronavirus. He told that Rita Wilson and he felt tired, had cold and body aches after which they decided to go for the tests. Thanks to Chet Hanks and others, the fans were getting updates on the couple’s condition during the entire time of the illness. Now, after returning to their home in Los Angeles, Hanks had something to say about the whole incident.
Tom Hanks shared a note on Twitter. He wrote:
“Hey, Folks… We’re home now and, like the rest of America, we carry on with sheltering in place and social distancing. Many, many thanks to everyone in Australia who looked after us. Their care and guidance made possible our return to the USA. And many thanks to all of you who reached out with well wishes. Rita [Wilson] and I so appreciate it. Hanx”
