People are so bored staying at home, spending the quarantined time with their family (or alone), that they have started to spread weirdest “trends” on Twitter now. I’m bored as well, that’s why when I saw this particular “trending topic”, I had to dig deep. So, what happened? Well, I just logged in to Twitter and found #BillieEilishIsOverParty trending at #2. There are 46k tweets already. C’mon y’all, take a break. We know it’s Sunday, but every day is Sunday these days. Even when you are working from home. Let’s find out what she did and why “Billie Eilish is over party” trending?
Something to do with Bhad Bhabie?
The very first guess my brain made was that probably it has something to do with Bhad Bhabie. She was on Instagram live a few days ago, and she was shading Billie. Seems like they are not friends anymore. So, we just though probably Billie has responded to Bhad Bhabie. And that her fans have took over the Twitter.
But, nope. That’s not what happened. In fact, it has nothing to do with Bhad Bhabie at all. In fact, it has something to do with One Direction members. Specifically, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson.
Billie Eilish cannot be cancelled…?
What she really did was like a meme. That’s it, she just liked a meme. And that meme is funny, to be honest. It’s not degrading or racist, just a meme by someone.
A Twitter account @imtuans shared the meme. The account is private (probably it was public before). Another person took screenshots of the meme tweet and shared it on Instagram (@notforlocalss). Billie Eilish reportedly liked the Instagram post. (Since @notforlocalss is private too, we cannot verify). Here’s a screenshot someone shared on Twitter:
Here’s a closer look:
Fans have reacted to the situation. Billie’s fans are saying it was not a crime to like that meme. While Zayn Malik/Louis Tomlinson fans do not like the meme.
As a fan of both Billie and Louis I have to say y'all are being DRAMATIC for literally no reason. She LIKED A MEME. Y'all must be bored asf in quarantined or sumn cause…#BillieEilishisoverparty pic.twitter.com/f6e1gkgMs3
