Ahsoka Tano Voice Actress Responds To Absence In The Mandalorian
Making her debut in Star Wars: The Clone Wars in 2008, Ashley Eckstein is famous for her voice actress role for Ahsoka Tano. Moreover, she has been reporting for duty on several Star Wars media list to voice out for the character in different parts of storylines. She has been in Star Wars Rebels as a guest cast and also did voice acting for a Star Wars videogame. Eckstein was also present in Episode IX, The Rise of Skywalker, where she did a voice for Ahsoka when Rey heard voices of past Jedi. We can quite easily assume that she has been loyal to the Star Wars franchise. However, since Rosario Dawson has taken up the role for Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian, it seems that the show would not need her services for this part.
Eckstein Responds To Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian
Star Wars fans were incredibly thrilled to find out that Rosario Dawson would be taking up the role of Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian. Fans are still theorizing how Anakin Skywalker’s former padawan will land herself alongside Din. While this is something all fans received with open arms, some were not happy to find out about Ashley Eckstein’s absence.
Therefore, the voice actress took a decision to talk about the news by writing a letter to the fans. She talked about the decision of the Disney franchise to not cast her for one of her famous roles. She then talked about the show and how the fans contributed to The Clone Wars animated show by trending #SaveTheCloneWars on social media. Check out her letter on Instagram below:
She expressed immense gratitude to the Star Wars fans. She might not be doing her part as Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian, but she definitely looks to be there in spirit. An excerpt from her letter reads:
“I am beyond excited and proud of what’s ahead and I promise it’s SOOOOO good. Dave Filoni and the entire cast and crew truly knocked this one, not just out of the park, but out of the Universe!”
Season 2 of The Mandalorian will star Ahsoka Tano. The season will launch on Disney+ the end of this year.
