Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell tie the know on March 25, 2020. They decided and made a bold decision about not inviting their friends and continue with their wedding. The ceremony took place at the Australian zoo due to the worldwide lockdown because of the coronavirus outbreak.

Bindi announced to her fans on Instagram that the couple will be getting married on Wednesday at the Australian Zoo. And due to the pandemic outbreak, the couple decided not to invite any guests over for the wedding.

A caption on one of her wedding photos read:

“March 25th 2020 ❤️ We held a small ceremony and I married my best friend. There are no words to describe the amount of love and light in my heart right now. We’ve planned this beautiful day for nearly a year and had to change everything, as we didn’t have guests at our wedding.”

Bindi Irwin spoke about how she wishes everyone could attend her wedding. But at the same time, how necessary it is to also stay safe and follow government protocols of social distancing. She continued to say:

“This was a very difficult decision but important to keep everyone safe. We wish all of our friends and family could have been there with us, however it’s lovely that we will be able to share photos and videos. Right now we’re encouraging the world to hold onto hope and love, which will carry us forward during this profound time in history.”

The couple got engaged last year in July. And they had been planning their wedding to be a big party. Unfortunately, because of the pandemic, they weren’t able to pull off a large wedding. Instead of like responsible citizens, they decided to hold a small function with close family only.

Chandler Powell is also beyond happy marrying Bindi Irwin

Bindi Irwin’s now-husband also shares that he was happy he got to marry his best friend. Furthermore,

After almost a year of planning, we changed everything so that we could enjoy a safe and small private ceremony at our home, Australia Zoo. As we embark on this new life chapter I hope that we can share some love in the world, especially during this challenging time.”

We wish both of them a happy life ahead.
