How ITV is airing The Voice and Britain’s Got Talent
With the world coming to a stop, literally, TV shows and movies have been getting canceled like anything. It’s a moment of confusion like never before and that too in such technologically advanced times. All over the world, we have observed many businesses closing down so that everyone can be home safe. This includes the entertainment industry as well. ITV is among the many networks which have canceled their shows because of COVID-19. In these times when we have limited options for entertainment, having our favorite seasons to watch would have been the best option. But as everyone has closed shop, movie and season marathons is our only option.
ITV’s show coming to your screens soon
As scheduled, Britain’s Got Talent will broadcast the auditions of season 14 next month. We are lucky to be getting this even. How is it possible you ask? Well, thankfully the auditions were recorded in January and February and will, hence, be available on screens in April. However, because of the continuing pandemic, the finals which happen live won’t be taking place this May. Unfortunately, they have been postponed but it is too soon to say when we can expect the live finals to take place. The Elstree Studio, where the finals take place and are broadcasted live, is also closed down following the lockdown imposed worldwide. Although, the production team tried to figure out a way to make the live finals happen according to the May schedule.
ITV made the following announcement to the press:
In light of the latest government health guidelines and in line with our priority of safeguarding the well-being of everyone involved in our programmes, production of the live shows cannot go ahead as planned.
