Lauv cancels Latin America shows due to Coronavirus
Lauv becomes the latest in a long list of artists to cancel all shows
Indeed, the coronavirus pandemic has hit us very hard. The entire entertainment industry is under lockdown. Coachella and Cannes Festival are dead. And now, Lauv has become the latest artist to cancel all his planned shows in Latin America. He released his debut album (~How I’m Feeling~) on March 6.
Lauv cancels all Latin America shows
Lauv, aka Ari Staprans Leff, made the announcement on Twitter:
However, this was not an unexpected decision. Literally everything has been canceled due to the coronavirus. Coachella, Cannes, or concerts; you name it. But fans will still be sad and disappointed. His debut album was supposed to push him to new heights. Moreover, fans were excited to see Lauv in person after his brush with anxiety and depression. He took a break from shows last year after getting tired from stage fright and constant exhaustion. But thankfully, he found a balance and was able to discover himself. Moreover, he identified six different aspects of himself, as portrayed in the album cover. Existential Lauv, hopeless romantic, goofy, positive, f–kboy, and spicy Lauv.
Summer Tour of Asia unconfirmed?
There is no word yet about his Summer Tour of Asia. It will start from June 16, in China, India, and Indonesia. However, it may get postponed given the current scenario. The total cases of coronavirus worldwide have crossed 460,000. Moreover, India is in lockdown for the next month indefinitely. Tickets for the tour are still available at his site, lauvsongs.com. It is very unlikely that Lauv will outright cancel the tour, given his love for live audiences. However, the coronavirus pandemic is still a developing situation. He said in an interview:
Being in the studio and being on stage, it’s really two of the greatest things in the world. It feels so f–king good.
