Charlie Cox Reprises Role As Daredevil In Spiderman 3?
The chances are high!
Spider-Man 2 left the MCU in a massive cliff hanger. Fans are still massively anticipating the film in the near future. However, there is one wish that might finally be fulfilled for many fans of Marvel. That wish is that Daredevil will be a part of Spiderman 3, and it will be played by none other than Charlie Cox!
Rumors are in the air
Recently, Kevin Smith shared a rumor on his podcast saying that the MCU might be rehiring Charlie Cox to play Daredevil in Spiderman 3! In his Fatman Podcast, he said:
Did you hear that Spiderman, the new Spiderman movie, gonna have a lawyer in it? Charlie Cox, they’re bringing in as Matt Murdock. That’s been the rumor online and they say that’s like the one that like Marvel’s like god damn it how did that get out?
Even though Smith has a lot of insider sources in Hollywood, it looks like he’s merely addressing a rumor. And that was the case, as he later clarified it in a tweet:
Perspective: While I, too, hope this rumor is true, please remember that I only talked about it with @marcbernardin on #FatManBeyond after I read about it on the internet, just like everyone else. This means I have no inside info. Much like everybody else, I’m just a hopeful fan. https://t.co/t8Kn080UIY

Of course, MCU nerds only need a drop of blood and they’ll surround any rumor like sharks. But there’s a good reason as to why they want Charlie Cox back as Matt Murdock. He was just that good!
Cox was too good as Daredevil
Charlie Cox got a lot of critical acclaim over his performance as Daredevil. Above all, comic book nerds including Kevin Feige himself loved his performance as Matt Murdock! The serious demeanor with which he played Matt was just what the character needed. And the way he showed his vulnerability due to his blindness was just outstanding.
Above all, his character might just be what Spiderman needs in the 3rd film. Daredevil’s universe has a very serious and grim undertone, which MCU films have lacked over the years. Cox’s Matt Murdock might just be able to give them that. Along with that, he can give Spiderman some much needed legal counsel after the cliffhanger revelation at the end of Spiderman 2. In short, it can be an amazing marriage of convenience!
