The James Bond star Daniel Craig admits that he really wanted to play Superman or Spiderman when growing up. Craig admitted this during an interview with Saga magazine, saying that Agent 007 was not someone he wanted to become. The star will be looking to hang his coat for the Bond movies, with No Time To Die his final one for the franchise. Craig would have completed his journey as well had it not been because of the coronavirus pandemic. Due to the virus outbreak, the release date of the movie has shifted to the ending months of the year 2020, November. Perhaps it is common for someone who is playing a cinematic hero to wanting to become a superhero at some point in life.

Daniel Craig Did Not Want To Become James Bond

Here is what Daniel Craig told the magazine:

“People are always saying to me, ‘You must have dreamed of playing James Bond when you were a kid.’ The answer is no. I never did. I dreamed of being all sorts of other things – Superman, Spiderman, the Invisible Man, even a good old-fashioned cowboy. But Bond so much, which seems ironic now… I’ve been lucky enough to land one of the best roles in movies. There’s no downside to playing Bond.”

There might not be any downsides to playing as Agent 007, Craig. However, it is quite unfortunate that the cast and productions will have to wait several months for the release of No Time To Die. Because of the growing fears of the coronavirus pandemic, MGM productions announced the postponement of the release until November 2020. While people in the UK would be able to watch from November 12, the rest of the world and US residents can watch it from November 25.

For Daniel Craig, it might have been a fun ride, starring alongside the beautiful Ana de Armas. However, would he still take on a role in either Spiderman or Superman movies, if given a chance?
