0 458

The mayors in Italy have had it enough of the public, and rightly so. With Italy having become the worst-hit country during the coronavirus pandemic, the government hospitals are running at max capacity. We confess we think that they are overwhelmed even. This is why the government is taking all steps to ensure that the public stays indoors and take this very seriously. This is why this mayor slammed a quarantine breaker by telling him he is not Will Smith from I Am Legend. The video is on Twitter and it is trending!

Quarantine Breakers Told To Go Back Home

There is a lot of shouting and the subtitles can get a little bit NSFW, so watch the video at your own risk. However, who can blame the mayor when so much has happened in Italy? With over 5000 deaths, the country has surpassed the death count of China, the place where coronavirus originated. People should heed the advice of healthcare staff, and when they say to stay indoors, that is what we should do. Unfortunately, the quarantine breakers do not take this seriously.

This mayor in discussion talks about a guy whom he sees walking his dog.

“I saw a fellow citizen amiably jog up and down the street accompanied by a dog that was visibly worn out. I stopped and told him ‘Look, this isn’t a movie. You are not Will Smith in I am Legend. You have to go home.”

the Twitter user who posted this video also clarified Italy’s situation, confirming it is beyond mere social distancing. The user writes that no one is allowed to go outside, except for necessities. Only one person per day per family can leave the house for such supplies. Nobody is allowed to leave town, whereas people can only step 200 meters (~218 yards). Quarantine breakers can even face jail time.

Italy has implemented strict rules to cope up with a staggering number of cases. Each passing day, the country is reporting a record number of deaths, only because it took actions too late. Quarantine breakers would have to think twice if they want to step outside.
