God of Wars Series Coming Soon From Dark Horse Comics
New comics are coming from Dark Horse Comics, announcing new instalment for God of War series. Chris Robertson and Tony Parker are working to produce God of War: Fallen God. The timeline of this comic series is set between God of War 3 and God of War 4. Do note here that in the last game series, we see Kratos in Norse mythology after escaping the Romans to start a new life. Here, the game starts from the death of his wife, who leaves behind their young son unaware of his father’s bloodied past. The comic series will follow the warrior as he tries to move on from his life after killing Zeus and Athena.
God of War Comics Series Start After Conquering Zeus
Here is the full synopsis of the new God of War comic series:
“God of War: Fallen God follows Kratos after conquering Zeus and thwarting Athena. Believing himself to be finally free of his bondage, he sets sail for the desert in an attempt to distance himself from his home and his shame only to find his rage and guilt follow close behind. Kratos rages against the one foe that has proven to be unconquerable—himself. But a war against oneself is unwinnable, and only invites madness.”
Writer Robertson and artist Parker have once worked together for Dark Horse as well. The duo built a Kratos storyline for Dark Horse’s God of War where the story served a prequel to the 2018 PlayStation 4 game, God of War 4. Now, they will work together to build on Fallen God, which takes place earlier than the game storyline. Dan Jackson will be the colourist while John Roshell will be the letterer.
Dave Rapoza is working on the covers of the God of War series. The first issue of the comic series will be on sale from June 24 from the Dark Horse Comics.
